Suite ideas? Sorted!
Just got some shiny new stardollars, but can't decide what to do with them? Sick of buying clothes? Then why not work on your suite. When voting for covergirl, I look at peoples suites. Sure, you've got the entire 3rd season LE collection, but I'm not going to vote for you if the only item in your room is a Hi! Cupcake. So, this post will be about suite ideas! I have already won NCG once, and became 5th runner up for covergirl, so I think I should be able to help.
Suite idea 1: A historical theme.
History has always interested me, so last year, when I needed a suite idea, I went for the Georgian/French revolution type decor. For this era, Glamour is a good suite store, because it symbolises the flamboyance and outrageousness of the period. Other historical themes may include Stone Age, Medieval, Egyptian and Victorian.
Suite idea 2: The Show-Off theme
Have a sweet hotbuys collection you are itching to show off? Then why not choose a showroom theme! Arrange your clothing, by style, colour, length, whatever and let the room ideas flow from there! Say, if you had a whole load of green items, you could put them in a forest. Or, if you had a beachwear collection, set up a romantic summer beach. The possibilities are endless.
Suite idea 3: The Starpoint painting/Stardesign panel.
This idea is ingenious. You buy lots of Stardesign panels and starpoint paintings, and create a modern, edgy room from them. One person who does this effectively is LuvSmiggle64. She pulls it off with effortless style, and it looks amazing. Check her out.
Suite idea 4: The Fantasy theme.
If you are going to go fantasy, there is one store for you. I am, of course, talking about Other World. The pieces are unique, so you could mix them with basic pieces to create a fantastic wonderland suite. You can also purchase a cute fairyland-like outfit to match your gorgeous suite.
Suite idea 5: Modern
This is one I see a lot of Stardollians going for these days. Most use lamps, panels and floors from stardesign to create these rooms, and may I say they look amazing. Despite the huge number of people using this idea, the possibilities are endless, and no two suites look the same.
Suite idea 6: Non-SS
Now, most of my posts have been for superstars and royalty, but I'm going to make a special idea for the non-ss among us. I think, for non-ss, a zoo is the perfect idea. There are many free animals and starcoin animals around, and the DIY sky and green pillows are starcoin. With these, as well as fences and gates, you can create an amazing 2-4 room zoo!
Hope you liked my ideas, I spent a while thinking them up. In my time, I have tried all these ideas and they have worked for me!

P.S.
Yes, I made that banner for myself. I'd be happy to make one for the other amazing writers on this blog, until we can get professional ones.

Have you wondered how to make images like these? I'm going to step by step teach you how.
Pick any doll, preferably a skinny female, as they
are easier to cut and paste and have curved limbs.
(Not meant to offend anybody.)
I chose "SKY FERREIRA"
1. Press Pr Sc/ SysRq, if you are on a laptop hold down fn too.
2. open up paint.
3. Press ctrl v
4. Cut a square around your doll and click copy, open a new paint and make enough space for your needs, now click crtl v again.
-
Now you need to use some of the tools in the little box which is usually near the side or at the top of the screen, I'm using the updated paint version. So if you use the old paint it may not work as well, but don't worry it will work.
-
4. Click the "select button" and another little box with pop up which is the cut options, click "free form selection."
Now you will view your doll with a white back ground, start to free form cut around the limb you feel you need to move, copy it and then move it aside and post a new one, you can rotate it, re size it and place it anywhere you need.
You can do this to hair, cut around the shape and modify the length you want, then paste, rotate and re scale all you want, go for gold.
5. You may want to remove the black undergarments on the doll to make room for whatever you have in mind, hopefully nothing raunchy or kinky, this is not pink.com you're doing this for.
So click on the little dabber looking tool and place it over the colour tone on the doll you need, preferably the closest skin pigment to where you need to go over, change the dabber colour often so you do not go orange then pale, so make it gradient.
I have covered this basic way to make stardoll dolls re arranged for whatever you need it for.
Hope this image also helps.

Makeup Tutorial: Winged Smokey Eye
I created this back in October or November last year. This is how I typically did my dolls makeup back then.

Hey!
Hey everyone! My name is Amelia, otherwise known as Milzagal. I am a spelling and grammar Nazi/Troll. I have been on Stardoll since September 2008, though I took a long break in 2009. I dislike it when people ask for rare items dirt cheap (Example: Can I have your LE for 10sd since you got it for 2sd?) or when they sell common, ugly items for 500sd. I am 13 years old, and I recently got my hair in a pixie cut. It was a big decision, but it actually looks alright. For this blog, I think I will be doing all-round stuff like make-up tutorials, stylish outfits and Stardoll tips.
Stay stylish,
